Voice/Data Network Cable Installer

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Network Cable Installation Technicians to join our team. Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic and coaxial cable installation, termination and testing experience is an asset. Up to date knowledge of BICSI standards is also a plus but not required. We are looking for motivated team players with the ability to communicate well with the customer, fellow employees and Corporate Management. We offer a Competitive Salary.

Job Requirements

• Experience or solid mechanical/electrical aptitude with willingness to learn.
• Willing to travel when required.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability

• Ability to think critically and resolve issues with subscribers high speed internet, cable and phone.
• Ability to interact and communicate clearly with customers and Dispatch.
• Strive for complete customer satisfaction at all times.
• Ability to work quickly/efficiently while meeting tough quality standards.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to plan a project and complete the work while utilizing the standard tools of the trade.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic telecommunications paperwork.

Job Functions

• Review work orders and obtain necessary material to complete each order.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, disconnect and/or reconnect high speed internet, cable and phone to client customers.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Supply timely outstanding customer service and product knowledge ability.
• Accurate and timely completion of daily paper work and truck inventory reports.

Physical Requirements/ Work Conditions

• Ability to carry and climb an 80-pound, 28' extension ladder during the course of a normal work day.
• Ability to work in extreme heat and cold temperatures.
• Work with flexibility in scheduling to meet our installations productions goals.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School/College/University Diploma
• Valid Driver's License and good driving record
• Steady Work History
• At least 1 year work experience in this or a related field.
